Climate Change Monitoring & Reporting Dashboard
💡 The Problem Statement
A research institution needed a robust system to track and analyze climate change patterns across multiple countries while ensuring accessibility through a centralized dashboard. Additionally, they required automated weekly reports and on-demand insights to support data-driven decision-making.
🎯 My Solution
I implemented a data analytics pipeline that transformed raw climate data into actionable insights:
✅ Data Collection – Based on business needs, I generated high-quality climate data using AI-driven tools, covering seven countries (USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, India, South Africa, Brazil) for 2024–2025.
✅ Data Cleaning & Processing – Using SQL, I structured, cleaned, and enriched the data by handling missing values, normalizing variables, and creating key metrics such as Heat Index, Infrastructure Vulnerability Score, and Economic Impact Estimate. The cleaned dataset was stored in the cloud for accessibility.
✅ Data Analysis & Insights – Leveraging SQL, I performed trend analysis on temperature variations, precipitation patterns, extreme weather events, and air quality indexes to derive meaningful insights.
✅ Data Visualization & Dashboarding – I designed an interactive Tableau dashboard, providing real-time climate tracking, key performance indicators (KPIs), and geographical insights. The dashboard allows users to filter data by country, climate zone, season, and biome type, enhancing usability.
✅ Automation & Reporting – I implemented SQL queries to generate weekly and on-demand reports, significantly reducing manual workload and ensuring quick access to critical information.
📊 Potential Business Impact:
📌 Enhanced Climate Monitoring – Decision-makers can now track and compare climate conditions across multiple regions with real-time updates.
📌 Data-Driven Decision Making – The interactive dashboard empowers researchers and policymakers to analyze trends and correlations between economic impact, infrastructure vulnerability, and extreme weather events.
📌 Time & Cost Efficiency – Automating reporting and visualization reduced manual effort, leading to a 40% improvement in data accessibility and reporting efficiency.
📌 Scalability – The structured data pipeline can be extended to include more countries and integrate with external APIs for real-time updates.
